SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The audio visual and events technician is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of all audio visual and event-related activities for the organization. The audio visual and events manager works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the audio visual and event needs are met with high quality, efficiency, and creativity.

The nature of the work requires this to be an on-site position. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the audio visual systems and events, resources, equipment, and inventory.
  • Coordinate with the communications, marketing, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the audio visual and event branding, messaging, and technology are aligned and consistent.
  • Develop and implement audio visual and event policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of conference room equipment maintenance and upgrades.
  • Oversee the setup, operation, and breakdown of audio visual and event equipment and facilities.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot any audio visual and event issues or problems.
  • Conduct post-event surveys and evaluations to measure the impact and satisfaction of the audio visual and event services.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, innovations, and technologies in the audio visual and event industry.
Qualifications and Skills
  • At least three years of experience in audio visual and event management or coordination.
  • Proficient in audio visual and event software and tools, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Zoom, Eventbrite, Brightsign, and Cvent.
  • Experience with Crestron and/or Evetron a bonus.
  • Basic networking skills, working with switches, IP addresses, devices, racks, and media servers in relation to audio visual equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, creativity, and innovation.
  • Knowledge of audio visual and event safety, security, and compliance standards.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
