As a Senior Manager in Manufacturing Finance, you will support the Manufacturing & Technical Operations (MTO) US Center of Excellence (COE) in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will support the US Manufacturing Finance teams by providing essential finance and analytical assistance. Your responsibilities will include performing accounting entries, generating financial reports, supporting annual planning and monthly forecasting cycles, oversight of the global Capex application & process, conducting ad hoc analysis of operating results and other data, and handling additional duties as assigned. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Lead the US Finance MTO COE team supporting the US MTO organization.

  • Maintain & improve Global operating & capital project software configuration and process that controls Capital process from planning, to authorization, to forecasting and ultimately project closures.

  • Execute on financial reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting) including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting, budget reporting, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.)

  • Support manufacturing sites with activities that include cost accounting, budgeting, allocation of direct/indirect costs, variance analysis, budget preparation, journal entries, accruals analysis, etc.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • 7 Years of Relevant

  • 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership

Preferred requirements:

  • Understanding of financial requirements and reporting standards.

  • Ability to work well in and manage a team, ability to develop and empower staff of different skill levels directly & indirectly.

  • Must be able to contribute at MTO leadership level.

  • Flexibility to respond to an ever-changing business environment.

  • Ability to remain impartial and handle sensitive / confidential information.

  • Proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, and accounting software, and SAP.

  • Good knowledge of Manufacturing processes.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to set out a strategic plan for the future.
