ABOUT THE ROLE
CannonDesign is seeking an experienced video producer with a passion for storytelling. In this role, you'll collaborate with designers and creatives across North America to craft videos that capture the essence of CannonDesign's projects, people and culture. You'll also produce video content for clients and film or livestream firmwide events, highlighting CannonDesign's innovation and impact.
As a member of our Brand, Marketing and Business Development (BMBD) team, reporting to the firm's Director of Communications, you'll play an integral role in shaping and enhancing the CannonDesign brand. From pre-production to filming and post-production, you'll lead every stage of video creation, ensuring each piece reflects the firm's creativity, vision and high standards.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Creative Direction: Developing creative concepts for videos that align with our firm's Living-Centered Design ethos and marketing priorities.
  • Video Production: Planning and filming video content that showcases the firm's projects, culture, processes, initiatives and more.
  • Post-Production: Editing footage, integrating sound and visual effects and ensuring final videos align with the creative vision.
  • Project Management: Managing video projects from initial concept through to final delivery, leading scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Collaboration Across the Firm: Working closely with leaders, designers and other professionals to tell their stories, whether that's a project story or stories about internal strategies and initiatives.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensuring all video content aligns with the firm's brand identity, messaging and visual style guidelines.
  • Event Production: Filming and live streaming high-profile company events for internal and external audiences.
  • Client Engagement: Provide video services to clients, helping them communicate their stories to key stakeholders.
  • Mentoring: Mentoring others on the BMBD team, elevating their video production capabilities through expert guidance and hands-on instruction.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Minimum 10+ years' related experience required.
  • Minimum Associate's degree in photography, videography or related field required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Current Certificated Remote Pilot FAA drone license required.
  • A strong portfolio of video work.
  • Demonstrated experience with editing and post-production using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • An obsession with details-both behind a lens and in front of a screen.
  • The flexibility to travel often; this position requires travel to our projects and office locations for videography.
  • The ability to stay on your feet for periods of time and lift at least 50lbs.

The salary range for this position to be filled in the Chicago, IL office is $90,000 to $107,100 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances. We have paid time off, flex-time schedules, remote work options and a 401k plan and employee perk programs.
