Description The Parks and Recreation department is looking for seasonal maintenance workers to help maintain the parks and green spaces of Concord. Employees typically work 40 hours a week Monday - Friday. May operate equipment and trucks as assigned and licensed. Works under the supervision of the Park Supervisor or his/her designee. Laborer may work unattended as needed or instructed by supervisor. Applicants needs to be 16 years old or over. Examples of Duties Performs park maintenance work such as mowing, trimming, weeding, irrigating, raking, fertilizing, shoveling, pruning trees, planting trees, planting shrubs and flowers, mulching flower beds. Performs custodial duties, maintains buildings and equipment. Follow and enforce department rules and regulations. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Performs other related duties as assigned. Typical Qualifications LICENSE: A valid NH Operators motor vehicle license is required for all applicants 18 years and older Passing of a driver history and criminal background check is required for this job for those applicants 18 years and older. CPR and First Aid Certification is recommended but not required at the time of hire. Supplemental Information MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED: Mowers, trimmers, hand tools, shovels, back pack blowers, snow and ice removal equipment, hand and shop power tools, custodial tools and equipment specialty turf maintenance equipment, field maintenance equipment, AED, telephone.
