Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Production Lot Testing Engineer to support Quality Requirements Branch of the Sustainment Division of the Systems Readiness Directorate. This position is based in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide support to the Quality Requirements Branch, Sustainment Division of the Systems Readiness directorate for the Production Lot Testing and evaluation of testing results of Army Aviation Critical Safety Items (CSI).
- Develop Production Lot Test plans for Army Aviation weapon systems based on technical data (engineering drawings, specifications, etc.) to include test characteristics required to assess the airworthiness and acceptability of Army Aviation CSI Production Lots.
- Manage PLT tests from test initiation through completion with coordination of test facilities, answering all testing questions and ensuring tests are on schedule.
- Evaluation of test results with respect to the accuracy and completeness of the test requirements and the affect each non-conformance found may have on the acceptability/release of the production lot to the field.
- Work with airworthiness authorities of each Army Aviation Weapon System for the recommendation and concurrence of the acceptability of the CSI production lot release to the field.
- Compose appropriate correspondence to Government Leadership and Procuring Agencies that accurately communicates the test results and the determination of the lot acceptance, lot rejections or any conditional approvals.
- Project Management responsibility and ability to work within broad objectives with considerable latitude for interpreting specific task requirements and for selecting the methodology to be used for achieving expected results.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Sciences.
- Five years of experience or an MS with three years of experience or a PhD with one year of experience.
- Understanding and comprehension of technical drawings for Army Aviation components, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), ability to interpret technical specifications as they relate to testing requirements, ability to interpret testing results for their effects of proper function of Army Aviation components.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, TEAMS, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and Adobe Acrobat.
- Effective and clear communication skills both verbal and written.
- Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.
