STV's Maryland is looking for a Traffic Engineering Specialist to add to the team. This position offers excellent potential for career advancement and growth as this individual would assist other senior staff in guiding transportation agencies in Maryland. We are looking for a passionate & determined entry-level engineer. Candidate will join a team of young engineers and provide operational and safety analysis as well as technical design.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performs Traffic Engineering Studies and Designs

  • Conducts traffic simulation analysis using VISSIM and Synchro/SimTraffic software, and operational analysis using HCS.

  • Writes and reviews traffic impact studies and analysis reports.

  • Conducts multi-modal transportation safety analysis.

  • Works with multi-disciplinary teams and provides traffic inputs for environmental studies and roadway design elements such as roadway signing, pavement marking, and MPT plans, Design Approval Documents, and/or traffic signal operation analyses.

  • Assists in public information meetings.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering

  • Exposure to traffic analysis software (VISSIM, Synchro)

  • Exposure to MicroStation & AutoCAD drafting software

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Compensation Range:

$55,640.14 - $74,186.85
