API Developer

The Opportunity:

As an API Developer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. We're looking for a developer like you with the skills needed to develop software and system integrations from vision to production ready.

This role is more than just coding. As an API Developer at Booz Allen, you'll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll help make sure the solution developed by the team considers the architecture and operating environment, including future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

• 4+ years of experience with coding languages, including C# or PHP

• 4+ years of experience with modern system architecture principles, including microservices or APIs

• Experience with Java, Python, and Ruby

• Experience working in an Agile environment

• Experience with APIs, orchestration, automation, DevOps, and databases

• Knowledge of networking and core Internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with project, task, and team leadership

• Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in Agile Scrum environments

• Experience with different types of testing, including Smoke testing, Functional testing, System Integration testing, End-to-End testing, Regression testing, and Load or Performance testing

• Experience with event-driven architectures

• Experience working in an AWS cloud environment

• Master's degree

• AWS or Azure Certification
