Conveyor Technician

Location: Boston, MA (Boston Logan International Airport)
Shift: 3rd: 9:30pm-6:00am (Sunday-Thursday)

We are seeking an experienced and skilled conveyor technician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of issues within a conveyor system in industrial and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, including belts, rollers, motors, and controls
Install new conveyor systems and components according to specifications and safety standards
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in conveyor systems
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and perform preventive maintenance
Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient operation of conveyor systems
Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements within account CMMS system
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on conveyor systems
Train and mentor junior technicians as needed
Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding system status and repair needs
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate or associate's degree in a related field preferred
3-5 years of experience working with conveyor systems and related equipment
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Proficiency in using various hand and power tools
Ability to read and understand technical documents, including blueprints and wiring diagrams
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions (standing, crouching, climbing)
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
Valid driver's license

Preferred Skills:
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
Knowledge of inventory management systems
