Fox News Media is looking for a proactive and organized Associate Producer with strong writing, booking, and video/graphics skills to join our D.C. team. The Associate Producer has stellar communication skills, thrives in a fast-paced, breaking news environment, and has great editorial judgment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to grow within our company and take on more responsibilities.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build fast-paced rundowns

  • Generate creative and innovative ideas for guest segments and pieces

  • Communicate daily story development to executive producer

  • Build graphics, write, and work on all other editorial and production elements

  • Take part in editorial planning

  • Help book guest segments/studios

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study, or equivalent experience

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in a live television environment

  • Natural ability to write effectively and creatively

  • Thorough knowledge of American politics and media news

  • Interest in how the news is covered, finding news in all forms of media, like podcasts and social media, with an understanding of the cable news landscape

  • Strong writing and copy-editing skills

  • Ability to work early morning hours on the weekends

  • Ability to work under intense deadline pressure in a newsroom

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $61,000.00-70,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $50,800.00-58,300.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
