About the Role We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Faculty Affairs Manager to manage critical administrative and human resource processes supporting faculty throughout their careers progression. From recruitment and promotion and tenure review processes to contract administration and post-retirement employment, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with laws and policies, while streamlining operations and implementing innovative software solutions. This role also involves leading special projects, policy interpretation and review development, and assisting with operational oversight in the Office of Faculty Affairs. Key Responsibilities Oversee faculty recruitment, appointments, contracts, and administrative agreements. Manage promotion and tenure processes and leave/retirement administration. Lead software implementation, project management, and policy review. Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations. Support day-to-day operations in the Office of Faculty Affairs. A results-driven human resources professional with strong organizational skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for supporting academic excellence.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - Oversee and coordinate faculty employment, appointment, reappointment, promotion, tenure, leave and peer review processes.
Job Duty 2 - Respond to inquiries and provide advice and counsel regarding Institute and Board of Regents policies and processes related to administrative policies governing faculty.
Job Duty 3 - Monitor, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding faculty compensation action requests to include retention and other salary actions. Provide input into faculty compensation policies and procedures.
Job Duty 4 - Advise departments regarding faculty administrative policies and procedures.
Job Duty 5 - Represent the Office of Faculty Affairs and the director, as appropriate, and assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Job Duty 6 - Manage and maintain complex filing and database system updates.
Job Duty 7 - Review and assist with the development of administrative policies and processes with regard to compliance with federal, state, and Institute regulations and policies. Assist departments regarding academic and research faculty administrative policies.
Job Duty 8 - Oversee and coordinate annual contract renewal and nonrenewal processes. Administer requests for time away and administrative appointments. Provide search consultation and resources Job Duty 9 - Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Duty 10 - Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience Five to seven years of job related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) or Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS Apply/interpret Board of Regents and Institute policies and procedures that govern academic human resources and faculty administration. Demonstrate experience in faculty employment including promotion and tenure. Demonstrate understanding of general immigration classifications and processing. Skills in verbal and written communications, organization and supervision, customer service and planning. Use of office and specialized computer applications and database systems is required.

Salary Range or Pay Range: $95k - $110k
Salary will be commensurate with experience and education
