FINANCIAL ANALYST (HYBRID)

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the input, maintenance, and review of the in-house contract databases with a focus on continuous process improvement
• Collaborate with internal teams to research and guide the accurate recognition of rebate income, in line with supplier contracts such as Spend, Volume Allowance, Fees, Splits and Growth Incentives.
• Provide business analytics and insights to Management, Senior Management, Finance, and Account Managers to facilitate decision-making and decrease business risks.
• Drive process improvement by Identify inefficiencies, risks, and control gaps within financial processes, working with the Projects Team to implement improvements, including automation where appropriate.
• Complete ad hoc analysis, reporting, and project requests as identified or assigned
• Contribute to the accounting month-end close, including processing Journal Entries, Passbacks, Cash Applications, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations to ensure Vendor Allowances are recognized and booked appropriately.
• Foster and build relationships with business partners within the Foodbuy and Compass organization.
• Provide excellent customer service to the internal and external clients through timely, comprehensive, and courteous communication.
• Ensure accurate and timely presentation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and the Group Accounting Manual.
• Understand, implement, and adhere to proper accounting controls and KFCs.
• Provide assistance with mid-year, interim, year-end, and committed customer audit deliverables.

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA certification/candidate or MBA preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Strong Excel skills required, Power Bi and SharePoint preferred)
• Experience with SAP or other large ERP preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Power Applications (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate) preferred
• Experience with a large company (> $3 billion sales preferred)
• Experience delivering presentations to Sr. Management and department customers
