Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree and two (2) years of administrative experience may be considered. Two (2) years of full time administrative experience. Experience working with diverse populations in educational settings or community-based organizations. Bilingual (Spanish/English). Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite. Experience managing projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Additional years (3+) of full time administrative experience. Event planning and logistics experience. Presentation experience.

Brief Description of Duties:
The Program Coordinator will report directly to the Program Manager. The primary responsibility of the incumbent is to support the Program Manager on a highly visible future scholars program for the university. This initiative promises academically promising and low-income students' free tuition if accepted then provides appropriate support for the undergraduate Scholars. The program is a unique pipeline (middle school through college graduation) being only one of a few similar initiatives across the United States. The Program Coordinator is a valuable member of our team, who provides administrative support and will interface with all levels of the University and external stakeholders. The incumbent will assist in coordinating all office functions. This includes scheduling meetings, meeting logistics, preparing presentation materials, tracking data, coordinating assigned projects, reception support, processing communications into and out of the office, record-keeping preparation, and filing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.



  • Logistics Coordination: Works in collaboration with the Program Coordinator to oversee the planning and execution of key programmatic events, meetings, and various initiatives, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Administrative Support: Manage conference registrations, pre-travel documentation, stipend processing, and logistical tasks. Assist in Monitoring and reconciling credit card statements. Help Ensure the accuracy of materials for events/student support initiatives and identify and resolve discrepancies. Assist in hiring student assistants, and tracking progress. Secondary point person for program email, website, and marketing.
  • Student Support: Assist with recruitment efforts and provide direct support to students, including, referrals to student services, and student appointments.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.


Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Non Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.

In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,400 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.

This position is located in Southampton, NY.

Evening and weekend work may be required at times.
