Provides support to attorneys and is assigned to particular functional areas such as real estate, labor and employment, litigation, intellectual property, corporate and finance and the like.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Work under the direction of an attorney.
  • Review, modify, complete and approve certain contracts and agreements.
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of records on the company's contract management system.
  • Develop form contracts for use by business partners.
  • Maintain records related to the intake and completion of various contract matters.
  • Support the attorneys in the overall management of all contract work.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of the legal department's work related to contracts and its context in the organization as a whole.
  • Investigate state Attorney General Complaints and draft responses

What You Bring With You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certificate.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Ability to perform legal research.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Understanding of contract provisions and their business and legal consequences.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under a tight schedule.
  • Experience in drafting contracts.
  • Strong organizational and document management skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain electronic records.
  • Ability to obtain, understand and communicate business goals to be achieved by various contracts.Experience with healthcare regulations a plus, but not required
  • Proficiency with PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro).
