$74,100-195,000/yr Application Window Open date: January 27, 2025 Next review date: Friday, Feb 21, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Feb 27, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description A Project Scientist position is available for motivated individuals within Dr. Pellegrini's laboratory at UCLA's Institute for Genomics and proteomics. Our lab is interested in the development of computational approaches to interpret epigenomic data. Our focus is on the development of tools for the analysis of bisulfite sequencing data for measuring DNA methylation. We are developing alignment software for bisulfite converted reads as well as methods for the development of biomarkers for aging and health. We are also collecting DNA methylation data using next generation sequencing to study epigenetics in animals and plants. Our ultimate goal is to understand how age, health and environment impact the epigenome. We are seeking candidates who are creative and eager to learn diverse approaches.
