How you'll make an impact:

As a Director, Finance Initiatives & Analytics you will support financially-minded projects within the organization by providing in-depth financial analysis to identify actionable insights that support executive decision making. You will work closely with senior leadership to analyze consolidated financial performance, identify and explain trends, and assist with the forecasting of financial and related corporate projects. You have a mastery in summarizing and communicating high-level insights from a strategic perspective, while also having a deep understanding of the underlying details and key drivers at a granular level. Additional responsibilities include preparing financial analysis and business cases for management and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with a strong background in financial analytics, business intelligence, and strategic planning.

What you'll do:

Financial Project Support:

  • Support the business with analyzing and reporting on key financial, corporate and ad hoc projects.

  • In partnership with the Financial Planning & Analysis Team, you will contribute to scenario modeling, break-even analysis, and other financial assessments to support decision making and risk management.

  • Present actionable insights to senior management to facilitate data-driven decision-making for key business projects, scenarios and transactions.

Financial Analysis & Data Driven Insights:

  • Leverage strong analytical skills to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making and communications for senior management, including the CFO.

  • Lead the development of advanced analytics platforms, utilizing big data, AI, and/or predictive modeling to enhance decision-making and performance management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create financial models, dashboards, and data visualizations that enable proactive scenario analysis, variance analysis, and what-if modeling for key business decisions.

  • Present insights to senior leadership to drive data-driven decisions on critical projects and transactions.

Process Improvement:

  • Perform financial data integrity checks, review and summarize financial data in a clear and concise manner for the CFO.

  • Continuously review and enhance existing financial reporting and forecast models to improve efficiency, accuracy, and detail.

  • Leverage best in class systems and processes to streamline financial analysis and reporting.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Science or a related field. MBA or advanced degree required.

  • 8+ years of experience in financial analysis, project management, data analytics and/or strategy for a large, complex public company or at a top tier consulting or investment banking firm.

  • Experience in Entertainment / Media and subscription businesses is a plus.

  • Experience with data analytics, data visualization, automation, and business intelligence tools to enhance financial reporting and analysis.

  • Essbase and Anaplan experience a plus.

  • Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Well-developed interpersonal and influence skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; must have prior experience presenting to and communicating with senior management and C level executives.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, including Finance, Product and Technology, Programming, Commercial, Legal and People and Culture.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives and requests simultaneously.

  • Ability to think critically and strategically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance management.

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $160,300 to $235,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
