Junior-level IV&V Engineer/Analyst

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Junior-level Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Engineer/Analyst to support Software Mission Assurance. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Will develop and manage the process of verifying that system and software products operate and comply with requirements and/or design.
• Will coordinate test processes including test requirements, planning, execution, and reporting.
• Provide technical expertise in testing and product knowledge.
• Write test procedures, develop test plans, and configure necessary hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
• Provide technical know-how on IV&V tools, operating systems and specialized computing environments.
• Perform evaluations of various software related products and cover assessments of software products through all phases of the development life cycle, including software specifications, design verification, coding, testing and results data validation.
• Utilize organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to work well with others, exercise strong written and oral communication skills, multi-task, and exhibit strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.

Required Experience:

• BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or ABET accredited BS in an Engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of software development industry standards, software test methodologies, software requirement generation, and maintenance
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time. US travel only.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with systems and interoperability-level testing of various systems
• Generation of test report documentation
• Experience with Static Code Analyzers (e.g: CppCheck, Coverity, etc.)
• Experience with C/C++, Ada, Java, Python or other programming languages.
