A Brief Overview
The New Hire Coordinator oversees all elements of the preboarding process and performs a critical role in a new hire's entry into the organization. They are responsible for navigating the new hire through a series of company, state, federal and city laws pertaining to preemployment requirements. The New Hire Coordinator acts as the primary point of contact for new hires between offer accept and start and ensures the timely completion and accuracy of all preemployment requirements. New Hire Coordinators are problem solvers, provide excellent customer service and possess great attention to detail.

What you will do

  • Acts as a connector between new hire, clients (including all levels of leadership) and other HR representatives. Provides excellent customer service.
  • Project manage the preemployment screening process. Responsible for setting expectations and guiding the new hire through preboarding stage. Proactively identifies potential issues, proposes solutions and or escalates as appropriate.
  • Maintains current knowledge of company, legal and requirements related to preemployment compliance and documentation.
  • Follows up with candidates, hiring managers and external vendor where necessary to ensure transparency and timely updates.
  • Creates new employee electronic employee record; follows through on any exceptions and or variances in documentation.
  • Other projects and initiatives as determined by the needs of the business.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED - Required
  • Associate's Degree - Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years relevant experience - Required
  • At least three (3) years in Human Resources or Hospital - Preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and change focus quickly to meet business needs within a fast-paced, high volume environment (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, with ability to manage in a high visibility, complex organization (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with candidates and flex communication styles to provide exceptional level of service (Required proficiency)
  • Proficient with applicant tracking systems and other related software (Required proficiency)
