Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is recruiting for a Data Entry I employee in Las Vegas, NV. The Data Entry I, provides a wide range of support to the overall Navarro Program. Completes data processing and provides data entry into the various databases, performs data calls without assistance, and occasionally reviews project documents. Aids internal and external users in solving system-related problems and provides general user support. General Responsibilities and Knowledge Skills:
- Works under minimal supervision to ensure databases are updated and maintained to meet regulatory requirements.
- Level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
- Completes data processing and provides data entry into the various databases, performs data calls without assistance, and occasionally reviews project documents.
- Prepares monthly reports, meeting agendas, and various other documents, and performs administrative and records-related duties.
- Comprehensive understanding of principles, concepts, and techniques in the field of database technology and records management.
- Skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks independently, and to analyze and develop innovative solutions to problems.
- Ability to work with broad objectives, with latitude to determine the best way to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to lead certain aspects of a task or project.
- Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
- Ability to work closely with and serve as an intermediary between programming staff and EM NV, contractor, and other stakeholder personnel.
Skills:
- Collects, enters, assembles, and verifies all information for inclusion into database reports and planning documents.
- Develops queries and provides data for ad hoc reports and reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Re-engineers current processes for effectiveness and efficiency and supports discrepancy resolution and data verification processes.
- Collects, reviews, and inputs data into a computer processing system; audits output data.
- Review weekly payroll and maintain attendance and timecard records for all associates.
- Purchase supplies in support of the program/projects. Complete purchase requisitions and maintain the monthly purchase log in compliance with the procedures.
- Performs administrative tasks to research, analyze, and develop projects and assignments.
- Coordinates and maintains status of specialized documents, records, and files directly related to management policies, general business operations, and support of assigned organization in compliance with organizational and NNSA regulations; and makes changes and updates as necessary.
- Identifies and resolves production related errors.
- Demonstrates experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products - preferred candidate having demonstrated abilities using SharePoint.
- Analyzes, develops, and implements processes to ensure data integrity is accomplished and maintained at quality levels.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years' work experience that provides a working knowledge of programmatic tasks, administrative policies and procedures, and computer technology.
- Reading, writing, and comprehension
- Demonstrated computer skills, i.e., word processing, spreadsheets, email, etc.
Working Conditions:
- When working at the DOE Facility, Molasky Building the work is primarily office and office support.
- The ability to lift approximately 25lb. boxes are required for the position.
- Some lifting, bending, stooping may be required.
- Overtime may be required to complete assigned tasks.
