Entry Level Procurement Specialist Posting:

SUMMARY:

Under minimal supervision, performs all duties related to purchase order entry and post entry supply chain tracking. Interacts with suppliers to maintain current price files and delivery scheduling. Interacts with internal personnel as a liaison between supply orders and demand orders and established operational parameters.

Work Schedule: M-F;7a - 4p onsite only

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the accurate entry, proofing, maintenance and submission of purchase orders based on customer demand, stock replenishment and management direction.
  • Maintain superior level of accuracy while creating and verifying purchase order information including proper product costing, shipping instructions, etc.
  • Resolve changes and discrepancies, and update purchase order information accordingly.
  • Routine purchase order review and follow-up, and expediting of orders.
  • Communicate professionally and courteously directly with suppliers in relation to order processing as required to resolve issues and receive order acknowledgements.
  • Maintain stock levels of supplies through established min/max as well as future demand forecast information for all wholesale lubricant inventoried sku's.
  • Generate intra-company stock transfers from primary stocking warehouse(s) to assigned satellite warehouse(s) locations to maintain stock levels based on established schedules and procedures.
  • Maintain customer backorder report with current expected arrival dates of product/packs and follow through to ensure fulfillment of orders in a timely manner.
  • Process all customer specific and warehouse location demand forecast request submitted for your area of responsibility.
  • Process vendor claim's per procedure through to completion for all mis-shipment, damage, over-shipment, short-shipment, and convenience return requests.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be capable of performing each of the above stated essential duties satisfactorily. EDUCATION or EXPERIENCE:Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent desired or over six-months experience in similar position. High School Diploma required. College degree preferred but not required. Other education/experience may be considered as a substitute. Experience with Outlook, and MS office suites is preferred.

LANGUAGE and/or COMMUNICATION SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Use of a personal computer in the English language is required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and multiply, divide, add, subtract, and calculate percentages using a desktop or electronic calculator.
