This position is responsible for increased sales and profit of Krylon Industrial Aerosols and Paints, Sprayon products and other National Branded products to existing distributor customers in the Industrial M.R.O, Construction, Safety and Specialty distribution markets as well as providing new opportunities within a defined territory. The Sales Representative position will also have responsibility for developing End User awareness to drive sales and calling on all account locations throughout a defined region. The Sales Representative will work with the Strategic Account Team to implement Buying Group programs to promote End User awareness to grow Tier 2 and 3 Strategic Accounts.

  • Cultivate leads, qualify prospects, schedule, and perform sales calls with customers.
  • Effectively implement the Sales Cycle, including Pre-Call Planning.
  • Enter all sales call information into internal sales call reporting application (Salesforce).



The Sales Representative position will also have responsibility for developing End User awareness to drive sales and calling on all account locations throughout a defined region. The Sales Representative will work with the Strategic Account Team to implement Buying Group programs to promote End User awareness to grow Tier 2 and 3 Strategic Accounts.

This person will also work the Regional Sales Manager, Marketing Team, Technical, and Product Planning to effectively develop and implement an Annual Growth Plan that will demonstrate a clear path for current and long term of growth of our Industrial product lines

Qualifications for Internal Candidates

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:



  • High school diploma or GED


Preferred:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Finance or Marketing


KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:



  • 3 years of experience in Outside Sales and /or Account Management is required
  • 3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Platforms such as Excel, Power Point, and Word required.
  • 3 years of experience managing and servicing long-term relationships with critical, high-volume sales customers.
  • 3 years of experience interpreting P&L Statements and budget management.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
  • Must be able to travel within assigned region, including overnight travel, up to 50% of the time.



Preferred:



  • 5 + years of experience in Outside Sales and /or Account Management is required.
  • 5 + years of experience managing and servicing long-term relationships with critical, high-volume sales customers.
  • 5 + years of experience interpreting P&L Statements and budget management.
  • 3 + years experience of managing a Large Geographic Territory
  • Prior experience presenting to audiences of 30 + people at a National Accounts Level.
  • Experience with and knowledge of The Industrial Distribution Industry is preferred.

  • 50% or more
