We are seeking a Senior Director, Finance Operations, to lead the operationalization of the Enterprise Data Product (EDP) within PsaS. The selected candidate for this position will play a critical role in driving the success of our Digital Finance Transformation program, EDP, by working cross-functionally across PSaS to oversee and manage the execution, operationalization and adoption of the project accross PSaS. They will provide seasoned leadership and guidance to project managers, consultants, IT leadership and change leaders, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives. Position Description The Sr. Director of Finance operations is responsible for directly managing multi-disciplinary teams focused on delivering the initiatives for EDP across PSaS. This role requires someone with executive presence, a passion for execution, an understanding of data, and a strategic mindset. A successful candidate will have a blend of results orientation and thought leadership to drive this incredibly important PSaS initiative. They should think strategically and possess solid abilities in conceptualizing, developing, driving, and influencing enterprise decisions to meet business needs. Strong communication abilities and strategic thought leadership are required as this role will interact with, and often have to influence, senior finance and IT leadership, including VPs and above, to drive execution. Key Responsibilities Setting Strategy
- Develop the long-term strategy, roadmap, and operating model for the Enterprise Data Product within PSaS
- Coordinate with Enterprise and BU IT leadership to ensure the technology that will enable the process change is delivered in a timely manner
- Effectively communicate the vision and status of the program across the entire PSaS organization
- Balance the desire/need for broad change with an understanding of the organization's capacity to handle change, creating realistic goals and implementation plans that are achievable
Driving Results
- Establish and define the operational structure for the Enterprise Data Product within PSaS and between PSaS and the Enterprise
- Create the one-year and two-year roadmap to operationalize the use of the Enterprise data product across the USP and Oncology businesses within PSaS
- In partnership with IT, define the governance structure on who gains access to data and how access is granted
- Define the roll-out plan to use the Enterprise Data Product and sunset Snowflake. Partner with change management to ensure the appropriate training exists
- Develop the business case and ensure we meet or exceed the ROI for this investment
- Set clear and challenging goals while driving results
- Lead others through complex situations, being comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty
- Lead the development of key metrics to bring transparency to the program while identifying and escalating upcoming technical and business risks
- Develop the BU Business case for the program and monitor execution against it
- Lead the cross-BU Steering Committee meetings monthly and make tangible progress against goals
- Manage financial forecasts, reporting, project lifecycle workflow, and capacity management
- Relationships and Influence:
- Naturally connect and build strong relationships with leaders across PSaS and the Enterprise
- Inspire trust and commitment from others through influence and actions
- Establish and maintain governance and communication cadence for all program stakeholders
Leading Team
- Lead direct team of one and indirect team of Senior Project Managers / Change & Communication Specialists
- Attract and recruit top talent, delegate effectively, motivate and manage performance
Minimum Requirement Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience). Education Bachelor's Degree required Certification MBA or CPA a plus. PMP or other equivalent certification recommended. Critical Skills
- Extensive experience in progressively more senior roles in project/program management (13+ years is recommended)
