We are actively seeking a dedicated Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at one of our Ohio-based hospitals, including our premier behavioral health facility in Cincinnati, OH. As a leader in acute and specialty healthcare services, we are committed to providing exceptional mental health care to our patients.

Position Highlights

Patient Care: Diagnose and treat mental health conditions for adolescents and adults through individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy, medication management, and other interventions.

Caseload: Manage a caseload of approximately 20 patients.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts (7am-4pm or 8am-5pm), with one on-call night per week and one weekend per month.

Unit Details: 80-bed, Joint Commission-accredited psychiatric hospital with specialized treatment for behavioral health, substance use, dual diagnosis, trauma, and PTSD.

Summary:

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
