Job Expectations:

In this role you will work with and be mentored by nationally recognized, senior technical staff. Our ideal candidate will have passion and drive along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Be highly organized and capable of working in a diverse team environment and handling multiple tasks with competing priorities. You will be working with technical staff and executing the following types of work:



  • Execute activities on projects for master planning and design of water/wastewater/stormwater conveyance and treatment systems, as well as engineering services during construction.
  • Provide design efforts of small to large projects that meet or exceed the project success metrics.
  • Understand open-channel and pressured conveyance system hydraulics.
  • Analysis, calculations, research, selection, and layout, necessary to develop required new installation and rehabilitation design documents.
  • Defect coding and assessment of wastewater collection systems.
  • Coordinate with project managers, client service managers, and other project personnel from other disciplines.
  • Conduct field investigations and perform condition assessments in various settings, including active worksites, roadways, treatment plants, and pumping stations.
  • Engage in physical tasks, such as walking, bending, and reaching, to conduct comprehensive fieldwork.
  • Visually and audibly assess field conditions to monitor safety and identify potential hazards.
  • Ascend and descend stairs, as needed, to access various work areas.
  • Occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain the ability to move quickly to a safe area in the event of an emergency or hazardous situation.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required by the project health and safety plans, including hearing protection, eye protection, safety shoes, cold weather gear, and a hard hat.
  • Direct the work of drafters and designers, coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Maintain a high degree of personal organization and follow all company protocols for quality, timekeeping, project documentation, etc.


Desired Skills and Experience:



  • B.S. degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering; M.S. degree a plus
  • Experience and/or coursework in Infrastructure related projects preferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record may be required
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) preferred
  • Experience using engineering calculation software (MathCAD, MATLAB) preferred
  • Experience using drafting and design software (AutoCAD). Revit preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills essential


Salary Range:Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Salary: $65,000 - $88,000
