Summary



  • Lead strategic planning for Hyundai's commercial vehicle portfolio in North America, from vans to heavy-duty trucks and buses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, sales, engineering, finance, and manufacturing, to envision and define products that meet the evolving needs of customers and the market.
  • Commercial vehicles product planning aligns with our corporate goal of delivering the best vehicles for the North American customer through regional technical leadership and local/global collaboration.


Responsibilities



  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development of product strategy for Hyundai's van and heavy-duty truck segments in North America, ensuring alignment with Hyundai's overall business objectives and market demands.
  • Market Analysis and Insight: Conduct in-depth market research, analyze customer needs, and track competitive activity to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats. Utilize insights to drive product innovation and differentiation.
  • Product Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing product features, updates, and innovations based on customer needs, industry trends, and business objectives.
  • Innovation and Sustainability: Drive initiatives focused on innovation, particularly in areas such as electrification, autonomy, and connectivity, to position Hyundai's commercial vehicles as market leaders in sustainability and performance.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to senior management, ensuring alignment on product strategies, key milestones, and strategic decisions.
  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing throughout the division and with counterparts in Headquarters and Namyang in Korea.
  • Support to the North American Regional Headquarters with customer product inquiries.
  • Lead the creation and presentation of clear & concise project status and technical reports
  • Develop and manage the department's strategies, plans, human resources and budgets. Mentor direct reports.

Compensation

$165,000-$210,000

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in the automotive industry
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in product planning
  • 5+ years of experience managing product planners
  • Strong data-driven decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in planning, executing, and monitoring projects
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Flexibility in handling multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

Physical Demands, Work Environment, Travel Expectations:
