Summary
- Lead strategic planning for Hyundai's commercial vehicle portfolio in North America, from vans to heavy-duty trucks and buses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, sales, engineering, finance, and manufacturing, to envision and define products that meet the evolving needs of customers and the market.
- Commercial vehicles product planning aligns with our corporate goal of delivering the best vehicles for the North American customer through regional technical leadership and local/global collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development of product strategy for Hyundai's van and heavy-duty truck segments in North America, ensuring alignment with Hyundai's overall business objectives and market demands.
- Market Analysis and Insight: Conduct in-depth market research, analyze customer needs, and track competitive activity to identify trends, opportunities, and potential threats. Utilize insights to drive product innovation and differentiation.
- Product Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing product features, updates, and innovations based on customer needs, industry trends, and business objectives.
- Innovation and Sustainability: Drive initiatives focused on innovation, particularly in areas such as electrification, autonomy, and connectivity, to position Hyundai's commercial vehicles as market leaders in sustainability and performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to senior management, ensuring alignment on product strategies, key milestones, and strategic decisions.
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing throughout the division and with counterparts in Headquarters and Namyang in Korea.
- Support to the North American Regional Headquarters with customer product inquiries.
- Lead the creation and presentation of clear & concise project status and technical reports
- Develop and manage the department's strategies, plans, human resources and budgets. Mentor direct reports.

Compensation
$165,000-$210,000 Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- 15+ years of relevant experience in the automotive industry
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in product planning
- 5+ years of experience managing product planners
- Strong data-driven decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in planning, executing, and monitoring projects
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Flexibility in handling multiple projects and changing priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
