Quality Assurance Specialist, Lead

The Opportunity:

That's why we need you, an experienced quality assurance analyst who knows how to thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best system possible.

As a quality assurance leader, you'll oversee a team who is evaluating developed systems forVeteran Administration. You'll guide your team to develop and implement a test plan based on requirements.

Using software quality assurance,you'll lead your team to generate problem resolutions and track quality assurance standards to observe how the system performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You'll share your expertise in various types of testing, including manual, automation, performance, accessibility, usability, user acceptance testing and testing process improvement. This is an opportunity to expand your skills in documenting and solving system deficiencies as well as leading and mentoring others.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with testing web application technology

  • 3+ years of experience in a business or requirements analyst role

  • Experience with defining and testing against acceptance criteria to recreate issues and test product defects and fixes

  • Experience with creating SQL queries to test application functionality and to retrieve various data sets

  • Experience with coordinating tasks with Software Developers, Business Analysts, UX Designers and Product Owners

  • Experience with gathering business-focused requirements, including defining the backlog

  • Experience with working with end users to refine business practices to ensure alignment between business need and the application

  • Ability to lead User Acceptance Testing and provide testing guidance for the client and other stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with SQL Developer

  • Experience with requirements management tools, including JIRA and Confluence

  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban development methodology

  • Experience with automated testing tools, including Sahi or ReadyAPI

  • Experience with data or records management applications

  • Experience with Superfund Enterprise Management System

  • Experience with MS Office Suite

  • Knowledge of EPA Superfund program

  • Ability to identify core business needs, decompose and document concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and user stories, document business rules, and construct workflow diagram

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
