Carnegie Mellon University's Mellon College of Science (MCS) is seeking a Lab Assistant/Dishwasher to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with MCS or equivalent experience who thrives in a dynamic and hands-on work environment. In this role, you will support laboratory operations by performing essential maintenance duties to ensure a clean and organized research environment.

Core Responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure appropriate supply inventory.

  • Assist with basic laboratory preparations and experiment setup.

  • Perform data entry, file organization, and record management.

  • Monitor lab instruments and equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and report any malfunctions.

  • Clean and maintain lab instruments, equipment, and facilities.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

  • Previous experience in a research lab, data entry, or record management is preferred.
