Job Purpose
This role will work on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office and 2 days remote) from our Corporate office in Reading, PA. The Cybersecurity Project Manager is responsible for the planning, budgeting, documenting, and oversight of all aspects of specific programs throughout the project lifecycle. The position leads the design, testing, planning, budgeting, and implementation of complex cybersecurity projects for systems and services that typically affect many employees. The Cybersecurity Project Manager works closely with upper management to ensure the scope and direction of each project are on schedule and coordinates with other departments for support. Meeting project commitments is a primary focus of the position. The Cybersecurity Project Manager will focus primarily on Information Technology Infrastructure and Cybersecurity-related projects. It is imperative for this resource to drive consistency in the implementation of systems and best practices, understand basic project management methodologies, and apply industry-leading cybersecurity standards and compliance frameworks. This position will involve working across different lines of business and will require solid communication skills, the ability to build relationships, and drive a consistent agenda while ensuring security compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the cybersecurity goals and priorities of the organization.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of cybersecurity-focused projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, adhering to cybersecurity best practices.
- Assist in establishing realistic timelines and goals for cybersecurity project deliverables, including vulnerability assessments, remediation, and compliance audits.
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders, and ensure technical feasibility with a focus on security.
- Demonstrate superior collaboration skills and techniques, appropriately defining alternate solutions, resolving conflicts, and creating partnerships with team members and stakeholders to address cybersecurity risks.
- Work closely with Organizational Change Management to drive security-related changes while taking full account of obstacles, opposition, and differing stakeholder priorities.
- Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, incorporating cybersecurity-specific resource and tool requirements.
- Use verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs, particularly addressing cybersecurity impacts.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques, with a focus on cybersecurity metrics and reporting.
- Develop project status reporting and escalate cybersecurity-related issues to management as needed.
- Proactively develop and implement strategies that significantly mitigate program risk and enhance security posture.
- Establish contacts and cultivate relationships and a network both inside and outside of the organization, particularly within the cybersecurity community.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including security risk assessments and compliance reports.
- Conduct follow-up meetings with stakeholders and team members to continuously improve cybersecurity project management processes and toolkits.

- 5+ years of working experience as a project manager in the information technology or cybersecurity sector.
- 5+ years of practical experience in an information technology or cybersecurity role.
- A degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Cybersecurity) is an advantage but not required.

- Analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve problems. Ability to analyze data, resources, and schedules to make decisions that affect a project regularly.
Computer Skills
- Understanding of project management software, including MS Project and Smartsheet.
- Proficient in the use of standard office software and reporting applications.
- Advanced MS Office skills, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001, and CMMC.
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.

- Exhibit a high degree of independent thinking; apply previous experience, general policies, and acquired educational expertise to specific situations.
- Ability to identify and diagnose cybersecurity problems, recommending solutions and preventative measures.
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Experience with data analysis with the ability to provide qualitative analysis and recommendations.
- Experience with regulatory compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or PMP.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity incident response and vulnerability management.
