Purpose of Position

The Billing Specialist is responsible for providing FlightSafety customers with correct, timely invoices for all training sold at a specific FlightSafety International Learning Center, or Centers.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure customers receive correct and timely billing.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Communicate with Learning Center Customer Support Teammates, Account Representatives and Sales Teammates to resolve any billing and/or customer account issues.
  • Reconcile disparities between scheduled, cancelled, hard and soft hour stipulations, and no-show hours for Learning Center management and employees.
  • Monitor customer agreements (terms, times escalations, and credit criteria).
  • Conduct research to ensure customer pricing is present and correct.
  • Produce reports as needed (i.e. SAP, Determine Order Type Report, CRM, Center Monthly Accruals, and Service Desk submissions).
  • Interact with appropriate Sales partners to determine accuracy of account information.
  • Train and cross-train, as required, to maintain redundancy in the billing system.
Minimum Education
  • Associate's Degree or experience in lieu of degree
Minimum Experience
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience with SAP or similar system preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate or high level of Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to reconcile data and analyze variances
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner
  • Travel when required
