Overall accountabilities are defined in this section. As an ePMO team member, you would assist in managing a variety of projects at multiple locations. Conducting configuration, troubleshooting, and software/hardware testing to advance initiatives across the business. The Senior Project Manager, ePMO is responsible for the management of a logical grouping of projects or one large project. They lead the development and evaluation of the project's strategic and tactical goals and plans. The Senior Project Manager, ePMO ensures conformance to the overall goals/objectives, directs external, while relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish the initiative's goals. The Senior Project Manager, ePMO will be held responsible for the timely completion and the quality of the work produced by the project teams or programs they manage.
Core Responsibilities
Work with the ePMO to establish the program, work with key stakeholders and manager to clearly define its overall mission, goals and objectives. Provide leadership; coordinate and administer strategies for the ongoing planning and management of the program and the portfolio of projects. Manage the project life cycle from design concept, development and production release. Work collaboratively and professionally with outside organizations while dealing with organizational complexity and competing priorities. Facilitate requirements gathering, requirements planning and requirements management to ensure they meet the demands of key stakeholders. Coordinate with technical resources to translate functional requirements to technical requirements as needed. Understand technical issues and escalate as needed with cross functional teams and vendors to drive to resolution. Ensure that project team members are aware and meet project milestones and deliverables. Project Management, Expectation Management and Change Management - Effectively manage stakeholder expectations while managing changes to scope and timelines as they occur. Facilitate written sign-off of original scope for all changes and associated impacts. Raise scope change requests to the appropriate stakeholder level as required. Manage project scope and priorities to ensure commitments are achieved within the agreed upon schedule, cost and quality criteria. Manage and document project risks, issues, dependencies, mitigations and provide acceptable alternatives. Understands that all Smithfield employees have external and/or internal customers that they provide services and information to; honors Smithfield's commitments to customers/venues by providing helpful, courteous, responsive, and knowledgeable customer service. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative compliant solutions; works well in groups and individual problem-solving situations. Cooperates with others to accomplish common goals; works with employees within and across his/her department to achieve shared goals; treats others with dignity and respect and maintains friendly demeanor; values the contributions of others. Consistently delivers required results; consistently complies with quality standards and meets deadlines; maintains focus on company service levels.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience in IT required, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Project management certification preferred. 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required. Ability to manage 5 - 8 small projects, 4 - 5 medium project or 1 large program with multiple projects included is required. Experience leading teams and project budgets ranging from $250K to $10+ million across multiple functions within the enterprise required. Manufacturing industry knowledge preferred. Demonstrated expertise in the area of project management, respective processes and methodologies. Strong strategic planning, leadership and management skills. Strong time management, PC and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across all levels of the organization. Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
