National Indemnity Company is a member of the Berkshire Hathaway group of insurance companies owned by Berkshire Hathaway Inc. and we are seeking an immediate Employee Wellness Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship will give the qualified candidate an opportunity to obtain valuable experience and competitive pay.

Hours:

  • Flexible; Between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • 15-25 hours per week, depending on the applicant's schedule
  • Up to 40 hours per week in the summer, depending on the applicant's schedule

Duties include:

  • Assisting with the development, planning, communication, and administration of the company Wellness Program challenges and events.
  • Assisting in the administrative duties for the online employee wellness portal
  • Serving as a member of the Company Wellness Team which includes brainstorming ideas and participating in all areas of comprehensive programming, wellness and on-site fitness center events and education.
  • Creating weekly publications on health and wellness-related topics, employee resource group specific information and a variety of interesting or fun topics of interest to our employees.
  • Researching and developing ideas and writing articles for quarterly Wellness newsletter, WELL-Done News.
  • Writing wellness-related and company activity articles
  • Assisting with Company activities and Human Resources projects

Requirements:

  • College sophomore or junior
  • Major in Journalism, Communication, or Health Promotion preferred
  • Ability to compose and write a variety of wellness communications and marketing materials
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Multi-tasking, sense of urgency
