The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Material Handler to our growing Supply Chain Operations division in Spokane. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include:

General warehouse, shipping/receiving operations. Deliveries to jobsites, will calls at vendors, and help maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.

  • Maintain a safe an orderly tool & equipment warehouse
  • Confirm that daily/monthly inspections are being completed (Forklift log, etc.
  • Handle and distribute inbound freight and small packages
  • Fleet vehicle transportation
  • Load finished product from manufacturing shop for delivery.
  • Handle material in and out of storage locations (warehouse)
  • Reports directly to Warehouse Manager

Inventory Control:

  • Confirm all Tools and Equipment that are received from vendors are correct and in working order.
  • Receive requested tool orders, confirm, and pull items from stock
  • Report all items not in stock to Logistics/Toolroom manager for purchasing
  • Assist in pulling orders, confirm what they pulled is correct and operational.
  • Process returns within the current database; ensure returns are completed within a timely manner.
  • Stock consumables and small tools into the tool cage when receive

Shipping & Receiving:

  • Receive all materials delivered to warehouse, separate out and notify owners
  • Tag all pallets, baskets, crates etc. with owner and date it was placed in storage.
  • Maintain a clean area around the dumpster and loading docks

Delivery/Fleet Vehicles:

  • Ensure delivery vehicles are maintained on a weekly basis (clean and check service dates)
  • Transport fleet vehicles to and from repair shop & job sites.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Clean driving record. (1 or less speeding tickets)
  • Pass a DOT Physical test
  • Ability to drive 24' flatbed lift gate truck. (Non CDL)
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Basic computer skills
    • E-mail, inventory control software, etc.
  • Must be able to lift minimum 50 lbs.
  • Must Join Local 55, Local 44, or Local 73 upon hire.

Compensation: $20-$24/hr

This is a union position through Local 55, Local 44, Local 73 or with the opportunity to grow and develop in the trade.
