DEA is currently recruiting a full time Project Coordinator in our Denver, CO office to support our Transportation team. The Project Coordinator would be responsible for a variety of project specific duties including general office tasks in a fast-paced professional engineering firm. Duties would include the following:

  • Preparation of project contracts, project set-up, and subsequent change orders;
  • Set up new project folders and oversee the maintenance of project files;
  • Prepare subconsultant agreements and task orders;
  • Prepare and review project invoices and prepare progress reports;
  • Review project subconsultant invoices;
  • Coordinate and schedule project meetings and prepare meeting agendas and minutes;
  • Correspond with clients and subconsultants;
  • Format and perform quality reviews of large and small documents such as reports, letters, memos, minutes, etc;
  • Coordinate the production and distribution of deliverables to the client;
  • Organize project budgets and assist project manager in budget management;
  • Provide backup for other administrative staff

Basic Qualifications:

  • Two years experience in office administrative and project related duties.
  • Experience with project contracts and invoicing as well as general accounting practices such as Accounts payable/Accounts receivable (AP/AR).
  • Basic skills in Outlook, Word and Excel required - priority placed on Excel skill level with the ability to create spreadsheets.
  • Experience coordinating and scheduling meetings for internal and external individuals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing competing requests.
  • Customer service or quality control experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the architectural/engineering/construction industry.
  • Advanced skills in Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Additional software skills in Access, PowerPoint, MS Project, Windows Explorer, Adobe, or similar programs.
  • Project management training or experience.
