Salary: $85,000 - $90,000

Job Summary

Restaurant Associates is seeking an Operations Manager to lead all aspects of our busy cafe in a prestigious NYC museum. Join our team and elevate your career in food and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily cafe operations, ensuring world-class service and guest delight.
  • Coordinate and support a team of dedicated employees, encouraging a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Strictly adhere to union account regulations and maintain compliance with all relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Implement and uphold rigorous food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Monitor and manage inventory, placing orders as needed to ensure consistent supply.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with museum management and other collaborators to improve visitor experiences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a high-volume food/hospitality management role, preferably within a cultural or museum setting.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to encourage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing meaningful connections with staff and guests.
  • Ability to compete and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of union regulations and experience managing unionized employees is a plus.
  • Dedication to providing outstanding guest experiences and upholding a high standard of service.
