Description

Job purpose for Senior Loan Processor:

Responsible for processing and closing Residential and Consumer loan applications from receipt of application through loan funding. Accurately prepare loan disclosures, identify guideline exceptions, and recommend credit decisions. Process requests for subordinations, loan modifications, renewals and extensions. Supports correspondent lending activities. Assists with training and quality reviews.

Duties and responsibilities for Senior Loan Processor:



  • Prepare and send loan disclosures to loan applicants.
  • Collect and analyze required customer documentation (ie: income, asset, property information). Review the documentation to determine whether it meets underwriting criteria.
  • Approve underwriting conditions within scope of authority.
  • Accurately enter loan information into Loan Origination System (LOS) to produce appropriate documents and loan records.
  • Coordinate loan closings, prepare closing documents and fund loans.
  • Complete quality assurance reviews of loan documents.
  • Support correspondent lending activities: confirm loan registrations, compile electronic loan files, perform quality control reviews.
  • Maintain timely updates to the loan pipelines ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Mentors and assists with training within the residential/consumer lending department.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications for Senior Loan Processor:

Experience

Required



  • 3-5 years of extensive loan processing and/or closing experience in a banking or mortgage lending environment.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations, including but not limited to TRID, Reg B, HMDA.


Education



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Additional education and/or experience: real estate, title insurance, appraisal or other related experience.


Computer Skills



  • Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience preparing loan documents using a Loan Origination System (LOS).
