STS Technical Services is seeking a Catering Inventory Clerk to support aircraft catering operations in Anchorage, Alaska. This temporary role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with digital tools such as databases and iPads. The position involves conducting inventory checks, monitoring catering supplies, and ensuring accurate documentation of inbound and outbound meals.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in aviation catering operations while working in a fast-paced environment.


Key Details

  • Start Date: February 17, 2025
  • Duration: At least 1 month, with possible extensions based on project needs
  • Shift Work:

    • 8-hour shifts (daytime or overnight)
    • Weekend and holiday availability required
    • Schedule may change based on aircraft delays or cancellations




Primary Responsibilities

  • Review catering orders and ensure accuracy.
  • Document unused meals, beverages, and supplies, including hot meals, sandwiches, and fruit.
  • Take photos of incoming catering for records.
  • Conduct inventory checks at the catering vendor and on aircraft.
  • Track, monitor, and communicate inventory or planning deficiencies to the Catering Department.
  • Audit outbound catering to confirm all meals and supplies match approved orders.
  • Audit inbound meals to analyze leftovers and optimize supply planning.
  • Organize aircraft galleys and catering supplies.
  • Use data entry systems to input inventory information into a database.
  • Monitor ramp activities to ensure safe and timely aircraft catering operations.
  • Report any operational issues that may impact catering performance.
  • Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • SIDA Badge required (additional details will be provided by management).
  • Must pass a background check, customs seal clearance, and drug screening.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and iPad usage.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 70 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
