Manager of Healthcare Systems & EMS Transformation

The Healthcare Access and Transformation Manager will lead strategic transformation efforts within a designated EMS business unit, focusing on sustainable innovation, local government relations, and relationship management. This role will ensure alignment with the GMR vision and strategy for innovative services while fostering strong connections with community stakeholders to enhance patient service delivery and operational and financial performance of the business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the design and implementation of innovative EMS service lines, including nurse navigation and alternative care models, to improve healthcare access and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with local government officials to secure buy-in and funding for transformation initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with PSAPs, fire departments, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and community stakeholders to ensure seamless service integration.
  • Represent the company at local government, community, and political events to advocate for EMS transformation initiatives.
  • Develop advanced project plans and oversee the execution of transformation projects, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • Monitor market needs, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to meet community demands
  • Provide guidance and support to local leadership to address underutilization or misutilization of EMS resources.
  • Ensure continuous quality improvement through coordination with clinical management, communications centers, and field teams.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and modifications to meet evolving operational and strategic needs.
  • Prepare and analyze financial and operational performance reports to ensure targets are met.
  • Adjust processes and provide coaching to enhance customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
  • Act as a change leader, inspiring engagement from EMS crews and local stakeholders.
  • Mentor local teams to foster innovation and collaboration within the business unit.
  • Develop community education plans and coordinate with GMR Communications Team to promote EMS services and initiatives.
  • Engage in business development activities to drive revenue growth and operational sustainability.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Three (3) years of general management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or other appropriate field of study is preferred
  • Proven experience in relationship management and local government affairs
  • Demonstrated track record with project implementation and stakeholder engagement
