The Office of Educational Equity serves as a catalyst and advocate for Penn State's diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives. We invite nominations and applications for the position of an Academic Coach (Student Success Specialist) in the Office of Scholars Programs. The Academic Coach will work closely with underrepresented students across assigned academic colleges and campuses, focusing on building relationships, providing individual coaching, facilitating group workshops, and implementing academic intervention and recovery plans. Collaborating with academic advising and DEIB offices, the Academic Coach will provide specialized support to help students achieve success. The Academic Coach will assist students in meeting academic targets necessary for admission to desired programs while supporting academic recovery through improved grades and effective study habits. Additionally, the Academic Coach will partner with academic colleges and campuses to provide ongoing guidance and resources as students progress through their majors, helping them navigate challenges in their coursework. By offering mentorship, advocacy, and tailored support, the Academic Coach plays a pivotal role in empowering students to excel academically and achieve their educational goals.
