We are currently hiring a Manager, Facilities Engineering for our sunny Irvine, California site. A Day in the Life:

As a Manager, Facilities Engineering, you are responsible for unleashing the full potential of our people and culture while simultaneously achieving timely and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quality medical devices.
Responsibilities include:

  • Manage capital renovation projects including engineering design, construction, budgets, scheduling, permits, commissioning, landlord approvals, move management and turnover documents.
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment, machinery, and utilities for all of our buildings. This includes planning and scheduling of activities around our customers schedules. Frequently involves the coordination of both internal and external contractors (HVAC, electrical, air compressors, etc.) as well as on site contractors (such as janitorial, security, cafeteria, and landscaping) in completing the work.
  • Provide engineering, design, and analysis to develop options related to expansion of product lines, new technologies, acquisitions, and what-if scenarios for site expansions tied to the strategic business plans.
  • Develop and manage the annual budgets across the sites we serve (expense and capital).
  • This position includes requires strong interface with health, safety and environmental (HSE) staff in all aspects of what we do. We also manage energy reduction programs, business continuity and all other related responsibilities for emergency response (fire, earthquake, critical infrastructure, power outages, etc.).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 3 years of demonstrated project management and leadership.
  • Fluent ability in reading, writing, reviewing drawings associated with using business computer systems (including CAD).

Preferred competencies and skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in construction and facilities management.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities including excellent interpersonal, written, and critical thinking skills.
  • Previous supervisory and project team experience is preferred.
  • Strong technical experience in the areas of quality control, safety, facilities operations and project management are desired.
  • Ability to coach, motivate and lead engagement of others in developing high performing teams.
  • Experience with writing/developing processes, procedures, change management and continuous improvement.

Work hours: M-F, 8-5
