The Impact You'll Make

At Lam, as a Financial Manager, you will be a trusted advisor to the business and influence sound business decisions based on your expertise in interpreting data, performing analysis, modeling, and understanding financial outlook. You're in a high visibility role working with internal business partners at all levels and across functions, on challenging and rewarding projects that help shape Lam's financial strategies and decisions for the future.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with the Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) organization to manage various capital expenditure programs and provide support for program budgets and forecasting;
  • Partner with the Global Operations Quality organization to provide support for month-end accounting closes and financial forecasting of headcount and operating expenses;
  • Provide financial controls and oversight during monthly invoice development, review and final approval;
  • Manage and ensure project controls are designed to support periodic reporting of CHIPS Act and similar grant programs;
  • Performing Balance Sheet account reconciliations and analysis, lease accounting, fixed asset accounting and audits, accrual calculations, and other related accounting responsibilities;
  • Manage Finance controls of the project change management process; track change order cost development and budget controls;
  • Manage GWS capex forecast and actuals capital expenditure costs to ensure accurate project costing;
  • Complete monthly accounting close responsibilities related to capital expenditures, ensuring timeliness and accuracy while meeting stringent deadlines;
  • Provide inputs in projects and cost reduction initiatives;
  • Provide timely response for project accounting and capital expenditures actions to resolve issues and close requests;
  • Identify project accounting process improvements to facilitate scalability and streamlining;
  • Partner with Operations personnel to influence and support their key objectives;
  • Work closely with cross functional operations business partners and the Finance teams (Europe, Asia, U.S.) on critical capital project, annual operating plans, metrics, variance reporting, etc.;
  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 internal controls and compile documentation to support requests from internal and external auditors.
Who We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related area;
  • Certified Public Accounting and strong technical accounting experience is highly desired;
  • Minimum 8 years of experience including 3 years of construction or project accounting;
  • Ability to understand the technology or manufacturing environment and the associated financial processes, experience preferred;
  • Ability to effectively analyze transactional level detail in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, preferably prior SAP experience
  • Strong business skills and effective understanding of financial and purchasing systems.
  • Consistently demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills to collaborate and build positive relationships with other Finance teams as well as other organizations to effectively make recommendations, implement process improvements, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Macros, with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data, create project models and analyze results with speed and accuracy.
  • SAP experience within the Finance and Purchasing modules to support project and general accounting functions.
  • Very strong, accurate accounting skills with attention to details and the ability to meet a very compact month and quarter close schedule.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to create detailed reconciliations, including complete analysis under rigorous deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task, flexibility to reprioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment and completion of responsibilities by deadlines.
  • Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Action-oriented and solution-driven and able to work in a fast pace environment.
  • Strong leader, with initiative and effective decision-making skills.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
