Application Deadline: 2/21/2025 Role: The primary function of this position is to analyze loan application information submitted through the Indirect Channel. Position is responsible to make decisions on loan requests with designated approval authority and based on current underwriting policy and procedures. Position will also cross train with Direct Lending. In addition, they will establish relationships and maintain a professional rapport with the auto dealers of the indirect lending program. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with Gulf Winds Credit Union policy and procedures. Build and strengthen professional rapport with dealers in the indirect program by effectively communicating credit decisions and providing prompt dealer service verbally and in writing. Follows up with dealers to resolve problems and/or respond to inquiries. Communicate credit decisions to the dealer in a timely manner. Demonstrate strong analytical skills and sound underwriting judgment. Analyzes a loan applicants credit worthiness; reviews credit bureau reports and score; verifies information included on loan application and makes the determination to approve or deny a loan. Offers guidance and assistance with loan building, credit interpretation, credit union policies and procedures to other staff members as needed. Responsible for compliance with Federal regulations including Bank Secrecy ACT (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Performance Measurements:
Knowledge and Skills: Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education: A high school education or GED. College degree in business related field preferred. Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Other Skills: Strong listening skills, excellent member service skills, comfortable asking questions and identifying needs to expand the member relationship. Excellent PC skills, proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office programs. Individual must be bondable. Must have a track record of working effectively in a team environment and building solid relationships. If selected, must meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the required background checks. Physical Requirements: Ability to work lending hours which may include weekends and evenings. Work Environment Ability to work contact center sales hours which may include weekends and evenings. This position is based in-office in Pensacola, Florida, and operates primarily from an office setting. Consistent presence in the office is required to collaborate with team members and fulfill job responsibilities effectively. The ability to actively participate in conference calls and meetings with other Credit Union team members and vendors is also required.
