Hear more from our team members about why UnityPoint Health is a great place to work at https://dayinthelife.unitypoint.org Overview Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit - Methodist UnityPoint Health Des Moines Shift: Full-Time Day/Night rotation, 7a-7p/7p-7a Part-Time Day/Night rotation Part-Time Nights, Weekend Package, 7p-7a, 3 out of 4 weekends Shifts include weekend and holiday rotations Shift differentials for qualifying shifts Benefits Eligible Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 paid over 2 years Responsibilities Provides care for Critically ill patients in a 36 bed mixed critical care unit in a level 1 critical care unit. RN is primary care giver for patients including but not limited to: trauma, open heart, renal, cardiac, pulmonary, general surgery, sepsis and general medical. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients and their families. Maintains a practice environment that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health with in the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model and in collaboration with other care givers. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Qualifications: Current active Iowa License to practice as a RN. Minimum of six months RN experience. BCLS certification is required, ACLS certification within 6 months of hire is required. TNCC/TCAR certification within 12 months of hire is required. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is encouraged. Department of Labor Level III (Medium) Work. Candidates must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment strength and agility test at Medium Level of Work. ***PLEASE NOTE: All newly licensed RNs with less than six months of RN experience and who are interested in this department or any other Acute RN role within UnityPoint Health - Des Moines, are encouraged and required to participate in the RN Residency program.
