Software Engineer 2 - Cybersecurity

Location (HYBRID): Sunnyvale, CA

As a Cyber Security Software Engineer you will resolve security defects filed internally or by customers.
Analyze security alerts, and assist in resolving security
incidents. You will help implement security controls, conduct audits, and support security awareness initiatives to safeguard our operating systems from cyber threats.

Responsibilities:
Conduct system vulnerability and compliance assessments and remediation across OS, with a strong emphasis on networking
Support the creation and delivery of security awareness training programs, helping employees recognize and respond to cyber threats.
Prepare reports on security incidents and trends, providing analysis and recommendations for mitigating future risks.
Resolve internal and external defects via GNATS
Contribute to new product development and ensure new code is secure and not vulnerable to Denial of Service Attacks Collaborate with senior analysts to retine security monitoring tools and enhance incident detection and response strategies
Do FIPS and common criteria certifications on major releases
Review functional and design specifications from a security perspective

• Minimum 1 year of security engineering work (as an intern or full-time employee)
• Bachelor of Science in EE, CS, Computer Engineering Or Security Engineering
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to work as part of a team with strict release deadlines

• Operating Systems experience with Linux, or FreeBSD
• Experience with Python, or C, or Java, or RUST, or R, or MYSQL programming
• Familiarity with GIT or other repositories
• Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure Or Google Cloud
• Understanding of TCP/IP
• Understanding of Layer two and Layer three of the OSI seven-layer model
• Ability to read and comply with industry standards such as IETF RFCs

Minimum Salary: $102,400.48

Maximum Salary:$147,198.90

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $102,400.48 and $147,198.90/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
