Purpose of the Role

As a Manager, Logistics at Worley, you will lead the development and execution of logistics strategies that support sustainable project delivery across energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. You will be instrumental in optimizing logistics operations, enhancing cost-efficiency, and ensuring on-time, safe, and compliant movement of goods and materials. This role plays a critical part in supporting our customers as we transition to more sustainable energy sources while continuing to meet today's global demand.

You will contribute to our ambition of becoming a globally recognized leader in sustainability solutions by driving innovation in supply chain practices and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead logistics planning and execution across complex projects and asset services, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgetary guidelines, and sustainability goals.

  • Oversee the full scope of logistics functions including vendor selection, contract negotiation, transportation, inventory control, and distribution.

  • Develop and implement standardized logistics policies, procedures, and tools that improve performance, minimize risk, and support continuous improvement.

  • Manage and mentor a team of logistics professionals and project leads, ensuring effective service delivery across regional and global portfolios.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to align logistics strategies with overall project delivery objectives and operational readiness.

  • Translate strategic directives into tactical plans to drive logistics execution in support of Worley's delivery and sustainability targets.

  • Monitor logistics activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards.

  • Identify and mitigate potential disruptions in supply chain operations by developing proactive risk management strategies.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to optimize material flow, reduce waste, and improve logistics cycle times.

  • Represent logistics function in client meetings, project reviews, and cross-functional initiatives, clearly communicating plans, performance, and opportunities for value creation.

Qualifications / Skill Set

  • University degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Extensive experience in logistics operations within a complex project environment, ideally in the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.

  • Proven leadership in managing logistics teams and delivering results across diverse and multi-site operations.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a history of successful vendor negotiation, inventory optimization, and cost management.

  • Experience with the development and implementation of logistics procedures, systems, and tools.

  • Adept at turning strategy into action plans and implementing effective logistics solutions to support sustainable project delivery.

  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across internal departments, external vendors, and client teams.

  • Skilled in navigating complex logistics challenges using problem-solving, critical thinking, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present logistics plans, proposals, and performance reports to executive stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across functional teams.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of adapting in a fast-paced, changing project environment.
