Who We Are SUMMARY The Automation Services team has been chartered to increase productivity by implementing intelligent automation solutions. We are seeking a proficient and insightful Business Analyst with a strong emphasis on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and workflow automation to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing, identifying, and recommending automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy within our pharmaceutical operations. This position will have the opportunity to help shape the future of intelligent automation and directly support BioMarin's corporate goals. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Process Analysis & Improvement: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct comprehensive analysis of business processes to identify inefficiencies. - Use platforms like Microsoft Power Automate to document current processes and workflows and perform gap analysis. 2. Opportunity Identification: - Evaluate business needs and identify opportunities for RPA, chatbot solutions, and SAP enhancements using tools. - Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making. 3. Stakeholder Engagement: - Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements. - Facilitate workshops and meetings to discuss and validate findings. 4. Continuous Improvement: - Stay updated with the latest trends in RPA, SAP solutions, workflow automation. - Develop and present proposals for process changes and automation opportunities to senior management. 5. Performance Monitoring: - Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of RPA and workflow automation initiatives. - Monitor and report on the impact of implemented changes and provide recommendations for further enhancements. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION Required Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience. - 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on RPA and workflow automation, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry. - Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with RPA tools like UiPath, SAP systems, and workflow automation platforms like Microsoft Power Automate. - Knowledge of chatbot platforms, MS Co-Pilot and AI technologies is a plus. - Proficiency in creating detailed process documentation and business requirements - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY This position will not initially have direct reports but may provide direction to provider workers. WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS The employee may frequently be required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. ONSITE, REMOTE, OR FLEXIBLE This will be a Hybrid role with at least 2-3 days onsite in San Rafael weekly. TRAVEL REQUIRED Occasional travel (less than 10%) may be required. In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $ 129,900 to $ 194,900 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A discretionary bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered. |
