Job Description

DataDirect Networks (DDN) is seeking a Sr. Pre-Sales Solutions Architect with deep technical and consultative experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and a strong background in AI, ML, and high-performance computing (HPC). This role is focused on driving OCI adoption through strategic solutioning, technical evangelism, and customer engagement. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor for clients, helping them leverage DDN's AI-optimized storage and data solutions within the OCI ecosystem to achieve performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Oracle Cloud & AI Expertise

Lead technical pre-sales engagements focused on AI/ML and data-intensive workloads deployed in OCI.
  • Architect cloud-native AI solutions using Oracle services such as OCI Data Science, Data Flow, AI Infrastructure (including GPU shapes), and Autonomous Data Warehouse.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on OCI networking, storage (e.g., OCI Object Storage, File Storage, Block Volumes), compute (e.g., BM.GPU shapes), and security best practices.

Pre-Sales Engineering

  • Engage with enterprise and CSP clients to assess AI/ML requirements and map DDN solutions to OCI-native services and architectures.
  • Deliver tailored demos, workshops, and proof-of-concepts showcasing integration between DDN and OCI for AI/ML training, inference, and data pipelines.
  • Partner with Oracle solution architects and sales teams to co-sell and co-develop value-driven offerings.

AI/ML Solution Design

  • Design scalable and high-performance architectures for training large language models (LLMs), RAG pipelines, recommendation engines, and generative AI models on OCI.
  • Align solutions with NVIDIA GPU acceleration technologies (e.g., H100, A100), Oracle Superclusters, and OCI AI Infrastructure.
  • Optimize data movement, latency, and compute utilization across hybrid and cloud-native environments.

Client Engagement & Evangelism

  • Be a trusted advisor to customer AI and data teams, guiding architecture decisions that accelerate time to insight.
  • Conduct technical briefings, support RFIs/RFPs, and contribute to account planning and joint GTM activities with Oracle.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business outcomes for stakeholders.

Collaboration & Innovation

  • Work closely with DDN Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to refine solutions based on customer and market feedback.
  • Collaborate across partner ecosystems (Oracle, NVIDIA, ISVs) to shape integrated offerings and solution accelerators.
  • Deliver enablement and training to internal teams and channel partners on OCI and DDN interoperability.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales, cloud architecture, or AI infrastructure roles.
  • Deep familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including compute shapes, storage services, and AI/ML tools (OCI Data Science, OCI AI Services, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML pipelines, data preparation, model training/inference, and performance tuning.
  • Expertise with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, NVIDIA AI Enterprise Suite, NeMo, and RAG tooling.
  • Experience working with GPUs (NVIDIA A100/H100) and designing scalable architectures in the cloud.
  • Proven ability to present to executive and technical audiences, including solution whiteboarding and workshop delivery.

Preferred:

  • Oracle Cloud certification (e.g., OCI Architect Professional, OCI AI Foundations).
  • Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud environments and integrating on-prem AI infrastructure with OCI.
  • Background in working with hyperscaler partners, OEMs, and ISVs in AI and cloud-native solution delivery.
  • Familiarity with AI trends including LLMOps, inference optimization, and GPU-aware storage.
