Coordinator - Special Projects - Days ADDITIONAL INFORMATION * Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. * Status: Full Time * Location: One Jackson Square 100 E Michigan Ave Jackson, MI 49201 GENERAL SUMMARY: Under limited supervision of a vice president or administrative director provides administrative support services such as coordinating functions associated with conference arrangements, committee activities and meeting agendas. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides staff functions for executive and senior staff level committees, organizes meetings, reviews materials, and coordinates all written and verbal communications to committee members. 2. Prepares meeting agendas, organizes documentation for timely distribution. Confirms member attendance, maintains records of future topics, and Transcribes minutes for record keeping. 3. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. From the Hiring manager: "Corporate and/or nonprofit event planning experience a must, Ability to lead a team of volunteers and collaborate with community partners. Must have the skills to maintain budget." EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * Associate's degree in business or a secretarial field from a business school or college in order to compose and prepare a variety of confidential reports, tables, memorandums, etc., and a minimum of three to five years progressively more responsible related work experience necessary to gain in-depth understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and operations in order to assume a variety of high-level administrative details. OR * G.E.D. equivalent and post-high school classes in business or a secretarial field: from a business school or college to compose and prepare a variety of confidential reports, tables, memorandums, etc. and a minimum of five to seven (5-7) years progressively more responsible related work experience necessary to gain in-depth understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and operations to assume a variety of high-level administrative details. * Computer software, i.e., Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Power Point, Access skills are also required.
