Mental Health Crisis Case Manager Lead- Assessment and Referral Center- Evenings

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Mental Health Crisis Case Manager Lead

  • Hourly Pay Range: $38.67-$59.94. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Location: Evanston, IL

  • Full Time/Part Time: Full time

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 4pm-12am

  • Required Travel: Yes, Highland Park, Skokie, Glenbrook Hospitals

  • Holidays: 1 Summer Holiday/1 Winter Holiday

Acts as assistant to Sr. Clinical Program Manager This role includes overseeing clinical intervention and documentation, coordination and training as appropriate, and to provide back-up coverage for the Sr. Clinical Program Mgr. In addition, he/she is to assist with monthly schedule development for ED coverage at all sites. Additional administrative duties include assistance with staff competencies as well as assisting with collecting and reporting on performance improvement measures. The Lead Crisis Workermust be able to work as a full-time member of his/her program's team, performing all appropriate aspects of clinical duties.

What you will do:

  • Able to work as a full-time member of program's team, performing all appropriate aspects of clinical duties.

  • Provides accurate and thorough psychosocial assessments that are consistent with age and developmental status. Assessments consistently include evaluation of risk of harm to self/others, ability to care for self, and overall level of functioning.

  • Assists with the orientation, training and ongoing development of program staff.

  • Develops staff schedules, insures appropriate coverage of shifts, submits to supervisor in a timely manner

  • Assists with facilitation of program staff meetings and clinical staffings.

  • Initiates and maintains participation on committees and special projects (e.g. Performance Improvement, supervision of residents, and/or student interns, opportunities for education/in-services, etc..

What you will need:

  • Education: MA degree (mental health related field), MSW degree from an accredited school.

  • Certification: LCSW (Licensed Clin. Social Worker), LCPC (Licensed Clin, Prof. Counselor

  • Experience: 2 years post-graduate (post-MA, MSW) required; an additional 2 years post-licensure preferred; healthcare or mental health care experience required; managerial/supervisory experience preferred.

  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Ability to manage/supervise within a healthcare environment; strong leadership and clinical skills; knowledge regarding state and federal laws related to abuse and neglect as well as the IL Mental Health Code; knowledge regarding Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements; knowledge regarding professional/social work ethics including patient confidentiality, knowledge regarding age-specific developmental issues; ability and willingness to work with diversity.
