Overview of the Position: Markets and sells aircraft component repairs, PMA products and end item material. Develops, manages, and grows Inside Sales accounts. Manages inside sales orders, calls, and requests for quotes. (Inside Sales defined as all accounts not currently managed by Outside Sales.) Additional responsibilities include purchasing, exchanging, and selling materials. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prioritize, and manage sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed upon annual goals set by Senior Management.
- Seek out and develop new opportunities/new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods to optimize business growth, quality of service, and customer and satisfaction.
- Manage customer product and services, pricing and margins according to agreed upon direction and goals from Senior Management.
- Review and manage inventory/bench stock product offering lists on online databases such as ILS, OneAero, Aeroexchange, etc. on a frequent basis.
- Quote all incoming sales opportunities from incoming calls and/or online databases systems such as ILS, OneAero, Aeroexchange, etc to all accounts not currently managed by Outside Sales.
- Provide outside sales with marketing data and technical support.
- Seek, purchase, and manage all inventory for future exchange and/or sales opportunities through various surplus brokers, aircraft teardowns, airlines surplus sales, etc.
- Open, review and manage the entire repair order process of all inventory products made available for sale/exchange.
- Provide weekly reporting status of inventory to Senior Management.
- Assist Outside Sales by seeking inventory purchases for major account program sales opportunities.
- Plan and execute personal business travel arrangements in support of customer needs and/or new opportunities to agree upon budgets. Includes but not limited to:
- Plan and execute local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timelines.
- Record travel plans, expense, and trip reports.
- Present performance data, program proposals and other business opportunities at external customer meetings and/or internal meetings.
- Respond to and follow up on inquiries and opportunities.
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
- Assist purchasing department as needed
- Other duties that may be assigned.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Able to communicate and sell effectively via written and oral media.
- Understands the principles of marketing and advertising cost-effectiveness, including market sector targeting, product offer development, value added and features-benefits-solutions selling.
- Ability to research market trends in repair and product pricing.
- Must be adept in use of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Ideally be familiar with Quantum Control or similar ERP software.
- Familiar with Online Databases such as ILS, OneAero, AeroXchange.
- Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance.
- Demonstrate the ability to achieve genuine customer account development.
- Ideal background would be in aerospace support services, primarily in component repairs and manufacturing.
Education / Experience Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prefer associate's, or bachelor's degree; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
