We are currently recruiting Manufacturing Engineers for the Savannah River Mill in towel and tissue converting department. This Manufacturing Engineer role will work in a high energy and dynamic organization. The Manufacturing Engineer will have broad responsibility for environmental compliance, safety, reliability, cost and managing within an ownership-based work system. Our Team Our Savannah River Mill in Rincon, GA began operations in October 1986 and is considered a world-class operation in the industry. Five of the world's 12 largest tissue paper machines reside at the facility. Our operation is designed to produce products primarily from recycled fiber. We have over 50 converting lines that make the tissue, towel, and napkin products in our retail and away from home markets. What You Will Do * Lead the organization toward excellence in Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance by identifying and resolving critical and high risk conditions. * Improve reliability of converting assets by leading the development, implementation, execution and check/adjust of asset strategies for converting assets and resolve high impact operating issues. * Lead daily operations of converting assets within technology center by developing operating targets and equipment setup procedures. * Assist operators with troubleshooting and reviewing root cause. * Improve longer term asset performance by understanding the business, mill, and department visions and identify area needs to meet those objectives. * Prioritize opportunities and develop a plan to create capability including potential capital and non-capital opportunities Lead or participate in capital project scope development, engineering, execution, and startup. * Provide technical expertise on converting assets and transfer knowledge to other members of the operating team via daily interaction and formal/informal skill building. * Prioritize opportunities and develop a plan to create capability including potential capital and non-capital opportunities. * Lead or participate in capital project scope development, engineering, execution, and startup. * Provide technical expertise on converting assets and transfer knowledge to other members of the operating team via daily interaction and formal/informal skill building. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Bachelor's degree in engineering or Pulp and Paper Science - OR - experience in converting operations and/or converting maintenance. * One (1) or more years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment What Will Put You Ahead * Experience in maintenance and reliability engineering * Experience in the pulp or paper industry, specifically in converting. * Experience with reliability systems i.e., SAP, Asset Care Applications, etc. * Experience with Asset Strategy Development, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) * Experience coordinating with the corporate business leaders. * Experience initiating and/or executing capital projects.
