About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Life & Annuity Business Architect to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of the life and annuity insurance industry, strong consulting skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader who can drive transformation engagements and contribute to building our industry eminence.

Responsibilities:

* Client Engagement & Transformation: Lead and actively participate in client engagements, working directly with business stakeholders to document current state processes, provide industry best practice perspectives, and recommend transformative changes. Own and drive the execution of transformation engagements, ensuring successful outcomes and measurable business value.

* Solution Development & Validation: Contribute to all substantive pursuits within the account, bringing a strong insurance industry perspective (specifically Life & Annuity and Group), an outside-in and contextual view. Validate proposed solutions, articulate business value and expected outcomes as part of compelling propositions for clients.

* Industry Eminence & Thought Leadership: Develop and execute a thought leadership and mindshare plan targeting client leadership. This includes organizing and leading thought leadership sessions, participating in joint PR activities, engaging in industry forums, and collaborating with industry analysts. Actively share industry trends and innovative product ideas with business and C-level executives to build mindshare and position our company as a trusted advisor.

* Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with business and C-level executives at client organizations. Act as a trusted advisor, understanding their challenges and opportunities, and providing valuable insights and recommendations.

* Market Research & Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape within the life and annuity market. Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

* Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, delivery, and product development. Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of the business architecture practice.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in the life and annuity insurance industry, with a focus on business architecture, consulting, or transformation.
  • Deep understanding of life and annuity products, processes, and technologies.
  • Proven ability to engage with and influence C-level executives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience leading and managing complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Thought leadership and public speaking experience.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with specific business architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation trends and technologies in the insurance industry.
  • Active involvement in industry associations and organizations.

Work Authorization

* Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until February 21st, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $98,853.00 - $158,500.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
